This is an unreserved on-site auction of an estate collection, amassed during forty years of passionate and compulsive collecting.
This amazing Connecticut estate includes over 50 American tall case clocks including three by Simon Willard, one by Aaron Willard, one by Jacob Willard, one by Einathan Taber and a myriad of others, signed and unsigned.
There will be over 100 pillar and scroll clocks and other mantle clocks that are stacked throughout the house. We do not know all of the makers at this time but will update the site as we inventory the pieces.
Over 50 American banjo clocks will be offered including examples by Simon Willard, Aaron Willard, Jr., L. Curtis, and many others.
There are numerous American and English bracket clocks, mantel clocks, wall clocks and desk clocks. More will likely be uncovered as we begin working on site.
There are also many rooms of American furniture and antique decorative arts, paintings, and folk art as well as hundreds of vintage Lionel train cars and sets, many with boxes. Again, it is likely more will be discovered.
Please check our website as we continually update the site with new finds. Expect many surprises. There will be no internet bidding, but absentee and phone bidding will be available. Preview will be limited except the mornings of sale. Please plan to attend and bring boxes, packing materials and trucks.
