A rare Chinese cloisonne vase depicting the crossed flags of America and China is expected to generate interest. The vase is accompanied by two letters of documentation by Mrs. H.A. Baldridge, widow of the curator of the U.S. Naval Academy Museum, and the biography of Rear Admiral William H. Emory who commanded the squadron of ships in the Great White Fleet which docked at Amoy in 1908. The Chinese Empress gifted each officer in the squadron with a similar vase.

Other noteworthy Asian lots include two Chinese archaistic bronze wine vessels, one with cloisonné enamel inlay and the other with silver and gold overlay. Several lots of Asian porcelain and pottery are on offer, including a rose medallion covered vase, a Chinese Cizhou vase, a Chinese celadon shaped charger, a Chinese Qing dynasty bowl, a large Chinese Junyao tripod censer, a Chinese flambé glaze vase, a Chinese Mei Ping vase, and many other wares. Asian furniture lots include a Korean elm brass mounted chest.

French country and formal furniture lots include a 19th century French directoire marble top commode with brass gallery, as well as provincial cupboards and chests and several lots of French marquetry inlaid furniture. Also on offer are a painted Continental armoire and a decorated Continental dower chest, both late 18th century, as well as a carved Italianate hall chair and two Scottish mahogany hall chairs.

Two fine American Federal period banjo clocks have been consigned by a Long Island estate, a Simon Willard example with eglomise tablets and an Aaron Willard presentation banjo with classical themed throat and base tablets. Both dials are signed by the makers.

Other clocks include an American Southern Federal mantle clock by Barber Davis, Savannah Georgia, and three English tall case clocks - a fine George III carved mahogany tall case clock, circa 1800, with silvered dial marked "Samuel Liddell, Old Swinford", having an arched bonnet with fluted columns, a shaped door flanked by fluted quarter columns above a stepped hexagonal paneled base; an inlaid Hepplewhite tall clock, and a Polish 18th century clock movement with brass repousse and engraved dial marked "Michael Wagner Breslaw" (now Wroclaw), in a later burl walnut case with veneered door and burl veneered bombe base on bun feet.

Other fine English furniture will cross the block, most notably a fine Georgian carved mahogany slab table with shell carved apron and carved dog feet, circa 1775, a pair of Queen Anne walnut and walnut veneer balloon seat side chairs with shell carved knees and claw and ball feet, circa 1760-65, and a wonderful Regency rosewood brass inlaid tea caddy with all original fittings, circa 1810. A recent arrival is a 17th century Jacobean carved cane chair with Spanish feet, formerly in the collection of the noted furniture scholar and author Luke Vincent Lockwood. The chair was most recently purchased in a Channel 13 benefit auction many years ago.

Formal American furniture lots include a fine Massachusetts inlaid mahogany serpentine chest, circa 1790, a labeled Michael Allison mahogany pembroke table, a Federal inlaid mahogany chest attributed to the Allison family of cabinetmakers, a Newport or Stonington removable leg tiger maple highboy base, a Delaware valley Queen Anne walnut tall chest, a Connecticut chippendale cherry desk with fan carved interior, and a Queen Anne walnut and maple veneered New England chest.
